Your guide to

using your home’s storage heaters

Some of our homes have Dimplex or Creda storage heaters which store heat overnight, usually at a cheaper rate, for use the next day. Continue reading for instructions on how to use them.

The right dial, usually called the input dial, controls how much heat is stored up overnight, and the left dial controls how much heat is let into the room.

Dimplex heater instructions

  • We recommend setting the right dial to between 4 and 6, and the left dial to 1.
  • This should provide a comfortable and steady temperature throughout the next day. If not, adjust the right dial clockwise to make the room warmer, or anti-clockwise to make it cooler the next day.
  • If you want to quickly warm up the room turn the left dial to a higher number. When you’re finished, just turn it back down.
  • If you have a Dimplex ultra slim heater, we recommend setting the right dial to around 9 during colder months.

Creda heater instructions

  • We recommend keeping the right dial between 1-3 and the left dial at 3.
  • This should provide a comfortable and steady temperature throughout the next day. If not, adjust the right dial clockwise to make the room warmer, or anti-clockwise to make it cooler the next day.
  • If you want to quickly warm up the room, turn the left dial to a higher number. When you’re finished, just turn it back down.
