As the weather starts warming up and our gardens and green spaces really begin to grow, it’s been another busy month for our Estates Team working across Staffs Housing communities to help keep outdoor spaces safe, tidy and welcoming for everyone.
From grass cutting and hedge trimming to gutter repairs and clearing fly-tipping, the team has been hard at work behind the scenes helping make sure your communities remain places people feel proud to live in.
Gardening programme well underway
Our gardening team is currently completing the third round of scheduled visits across schemes and communities and preparing to begin the fourth round over the coming weeks.
This work includes:
- Grass cutting
- Hedge trimming
- General garden maintenance
- Tidying communal outdoor spaces
With recent hot weather helping gardens grow quickly, the team has been working hard to keep on top of maintenance and make sure communal spaces remain enjoyable for customers throughout the summer months.
Protecting homes through gutter maintenance
Alongside garden work, the team has continued carrying out gutter clearing and repair works across properties.
While this work often goes unnoticed, it plays an important role in preventing water damage and helping homes remain safe, well maintained and protected all year round.
Tackling fly-tipping across communities
Fly-tipping continues to be a challenge across parts of the city, but the Estates Team has been working hard to clear waste quickly and help keep communal areas clean and safe for customers.
Removing dumped waste not only improves the appearance of neighbourhoods, but also helps create safer and more welcoming environments for everyone living there.
