Keeping our communities looking their best in April

1000035339

Our Estates Team has been hard at work across our schemes and communities to make sure outdoor spaces remain clean, safe and well maintained for customers.

From grass cutting and gutter repairs to fly tipping clearances and garden improvements, the team continues to carry out a wide range of work to help keep neighbourhoods looking their best.

Estates Team Leader, Dan, said: “We know how important clean, tidy and well-maintained outdoor spaces are to our customers, and the team has been working really hard across all of our schemes to keep things looking their best.

Whether it’s maintaining green spaces, carrying out repairs or improving communal areas, we’re committed to creating safe and welcoming communities for everyone.”

Grass cutting and grounds maintenance

Following a slightly later start to the grass cutting season, the estates team has been working hard to get back on schedule. Communal green spaces across our schemes are now looking neat, tidy and well cared for as teams continue regular maintenance visits.

Over the coming weeks, customers will also notice light hedge trimming and weed treatments taking place to help keep outdoor areas looking their best throughout the summer months.

Ongoing gutter repairs

The team is continuing to carry out gutter repairs across the city to help maintain the condition of buildings and prevent future issues.

These repairs play an important role in protecting homes and communal spaces, particularly during periods of wet weather.

Tackling fly tipping

Fly tipping collections remain an important part of the estates team’s work, with regular clearances taking place in communal areas and bin stores to help keep neighbourhoods clean and welcoming.

Encouragingly, there has been a slight decrease in fly tipping call-outs this month. However, it remains one of the most common anti-social behaviour issues affecting schemes.

Customers are reminded to dispose of waste responsibly and follow tenancy responsibilities to help keep shared spaces clean for everyone.

Repairs carried out at Burnwood Court

During routine grounds maintenance at Burnwood Court, the team identified several damaged manhole covers that required attention.

The repairs were quickly completed by the estates handyman to ensure the area remained safe for residents and visitors.

Customers are encouraged to report any damaged or unsafe manhole covers on their scheme so repairs can be arranged promptly.

Creating better outdoor spaces

The estates team recently completed a garden improvement project designed to create a more enjoyable and welcoming outdoor area for residents.

The work included an extended patio area, raised planter beds, decorative gravel and new shrub planting selected by the resident. The completed transformation has created a more functional and attractive outdoor space for customers to enjoy.
