Staffs Housing Joins Forces with Staffordshire Police to Tackle Nuisance Off-Road Bikes

Bike

Staffs Housing is proud to support Staffordshire Police in tackling the ongoing issue of nuisance off-road bikes that disrupt our neighbourhoods and put both riders and residents at risk.

We believe everyone deserves to live in a safe, peaceful community — and we’re committed to making that happen. That’s why we’re working closely with the police to help stop reckless, anti-social behaviour caused by off-road bikes in our communities.

Taking Action Together

The new Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team is stepping up its efforts to target illegal and dangerous off-road biking. Equipped with advanced technology, including drones and specially-trained officers on off-road bikes, the team is ready to track and catch those responsible.

But they can’t do it alone — and neither can we.

Staffs Housing is encouraging all residents to help tackle this issue by reporting any sightings of nuisance bikes or riders directly to us. Your reports could make a huge difference in keeping your neighbourhood safe and enjoyable for everyone.

How You Can Help

If you see off-road bikes being ridden dangerously or causing a disturbance near your home, we urge you to report it to us as soon as possible. Here’s how:

  • Email us at: asb@staffshousing.org.uk
  • Include important details: Where and when you saw the bike, what the riders looked like, and any descriptions of the bike (color, make, etc.).
  • Take a photo: If it’s safe to do so, a photo of the bike or riders can be crucial evidence to help the police identify those responsible.

Why This Matters

Nuisance bikes aren’t just noisy — they can be dangerous, intimidating, and destructive to our shared spaces. We know that anti-social behaviour, including reckless riding, affects how you feel about your home and community. That’s why we’re committed to creating neighbourhoods where everyone feels safe, secure, and proud to live.

By working together, we can help Staffordshire Police identify, track, and stop those responsible for this behaviour — creating a better, more peaceful environment for everyone.

Let’s make a difference together. If you see something, report it. Together, we’ll keep our communities safe, secure, and great places to live.
