Cath’s story: they always go above and beyond
Cath moved into Bradeley Village in 2004. At the time, she was living in a house that had become too much to manage on her own.
“I wanted somewhere I could feel supported,” she explains. “Here, there are people on-site if you need them, and there are always people around you too.”
For Cath, the sense of community has made all the difference. Knowing support is nearby brings peace of mind, while the friendly faces she sees every day bring comfort and companionship.
One of her favourite parts of village life is coming down for a meal.
“I love coming down to have my food here. The kitchen staff are so helpful and so supportive. They’re always a friendly face when I come down.”
Although Cath is more than capable of cooking for herself, she now chooses to dine in the village restaurant more often, and it’s not just about the convenience.
“It’s not necessarily because I don’t want to cook,” she says. “It’s because I know the team always go above and beyond to make me feel special and meet my needs. Whether it’s just having a chat or making sure my meal is exactly how I like it.”
More than support, it’s a community
Cath has lived in the Bradeley area for most of her life and has seen many changes over the years. Through it all, one thing stands out to her:
