Meet our Housing Team

From managing our properties to supporting Staffs Housing tenants, we’re the team that helps to make sure our customers have access to an affordable home for their circumstances. It’s not just rental and affordable homes we manage, we also support customers in shared ownership and leasehold tenancies too. We work with other teams to make sure that our homes meet health & safety and fire safety standards, and support customers with their maintenance, repair, security and anti-social behaviour enquiries.

I have been with Staffs Housing for 20 years and have worked in Housing since 1994 in a variety of areas including supported housing, housing benefit, council tax, rent arrears and also as a homelessness officer for Newcastle Borough Council.

I have seen a lot of changes over the years but the general aim of the job has been the same - to give people a home they are proud of and love to live in.

I have always enjoyed working with people, helping them to resolve issues and support them when things aren't going well. I enjoy working in a close knit and supportive team and have always felt I have had the benefit of this with Staffs Housing and Honeycomb Group.

I have two young children and a dog, so little time for hobbies and interests that don't involve them: although I am probably the only person in Stoke to still play Pokemon Go!

I started my career with Staffs Housing just over 22 years ago and have not looked back.

For my first ten years, I worked in several roles, including helping to manage our accommodation for the Royal stoke Hospital and projecting managing our schemes to make sure they are fully furnished.

I have now been in the Housing team for 10 years and help the team to manage a variety of properties as well as supporting our customers.

I moved to part time work from mid-2014 after having my two boys where I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays if you ever need to get in touch.

I’ve worked at Staffs Housing for over 3 years and have loved every minute. A far cry from my past job in travel.

Whether it’s the customer or my colleagues - it’s all about the people for me. I enjoy helping customers in achieving a happy home and building communities. It gets challenging sometimes but I that’s how I learn.

I have worked in housing for 8 years.

I work with a great team, and I really enjoy the variety of my role, and meeting and talking to new people.

When I’m at the office, I try to keep tidy and organised and I’m usually busy answering calls and emails. When I’m not at work, I love cooking, gardening and spending time with my family.

I've worked for Staffs Housing for two and a half years. I recently moved from the Customer Service Team so we may have spoken before!

I wanted to learn more about the housing sector and develop my skills further and the Housing Team is the best place for me to develop those skills.

Staffs Housing is a great company to work for it allows you flexibility. Customer experience is very important to me, and I enjoy providing a good service. Outside of work I am a bit of an aviation and space geek (yes - a plane spotter). You may see me out and about with your Housing Officer so please pop over and say "Hello"!

I have been working in the housing sector since 1995 and joined Staffs Housing in 2002 as a Tenancy Support Officer. I've been a Housing Officer since 2005.

Since joining I’ve completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Practice & I'm a member of the Charted Institute of Housing. This is just one of the reasons why Staffs Housing is a good organisation to work for as they invest in professional training to help us fulfil our role to the best of our ability.

The role of a Housing Officer is a challenging one & every day is different. Not only do we work to provide someone with a home, we work in the community and are often the first to identify if a customer needs further support. I find this very rewarding as it can literally change someone’s life.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me running somewhere and I have ventured into the world of ultra-marathons-my longest event so far is 50 miles which I completed in February.

I have worked at Staffs Housing for 17 years. I started as a Corporate Service Assistant and have also worked as a Housing Assistant, Customer Service Coordinator and now a Housing Officer.

I really enjoy working for the Honeycomb Group  and having the opportunity to help people and build up our communities.

I like that everyday at work is different and although it can be challenging it is a very rewarding career. I studied at Staffordshire University and have a BA Hons Degree in Business and Tourism, I also have housing qualifications.

I love to travel and I try to exercise as much as I can by attending fitness classes, walking and more.

I recently returned to Staffs Housing after spending some time working at another housing provider. I manage general needs rented homes.

I previously worked at Staffs Housing for a total of 4 years in both the Customer Services and Housing teams. I started as a Housing Assistant before becoming a Housing Officer. I used to manage the shared ownership homes and some general needs rented homes.

I enjoy the variety that being a Housing Officer offers – no two days are the same! I like working with customers to make a positive difference to their homes and lives.

When I’m not at work, I’m always busy! I like spending time with my family and friends; and I visit the stables every day where I keep my ex-racehorse who I’m currently re-training.
