This month we were pleased to welcome Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Pride in Place team to our Staffs Housing community in Meir.
The session was a fantastic opportunity for residents from both Rowan Village and Lime Tree Court to hear more about plans for the local area, including how Government funding could be used to support and improve the community.

If you haven’t heard of it, Pride in Place is all about bringing local people, organisations and partners together to talk about what matters most in their neighbourhoods. The aim is to make sure that future investment reflects the priorities and experiences of the people who live there.
For our residents, the session was a valuable chance to share their views, ask questions and have their say on the future of their community. These conversations are an important part of making sure local voices are heard and that plans for Meir are shaped by the people who know it best - residents themselves.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in the session, shared their thoughts and contributed to these discussions. As customers, your input helps ensure that decisions about the local area are informed by real experiences and the needs of the community.
It was also positive to see Meir residents engaging so actively, with one member of the community putting themselves forward to be involved in the local committee! A great example of residents stepping forward to help shape what happens in their area.

At Honeycomb Group, we are proud to support opportunities like this where residents can connect with local partners and play an active role in shaping their neighbourhoods.
