New fire doors coming to Oliver Lodge

OL

At Staffs Housing, your safety and wellbeing is our top priority. That’s why we’re excited to let you know about an important improvement project happening soon at Oliver Lodge, our high-rise scheme in Stoke.

Starting in May, our Property Team will be working alongside trusted contractors—Staffs Fire Doors, Environmental Solutions, and AIB Solutions—to kick off a fire door replacement programme that will see 99 fire doors replaced throughout the building.

Why fire doors matter
Fire doors play a critical role in protecting lives and property during a fire. They’re specially designed to withstand high heat, prevent the spread of flames and smoke, and create vital time for safe evacuation. In apartment buildings like Oliver Lodge, where quick evacuation can be more complex, having high-performing fire doors is even more important.

These new doors will offer residents improved safety, better insulation, and peace of mind, knowing they are protected by the latest in fire door technology.

A commitment to safety
This project is part of our continued commitment to make sure every home meets the highest standards for fire safety. Our teams and contractors will work carefully and considerately throughout the process to minimise disruption, while ensuring that each new fire door is fitted to exacting standards.

Kath, Head of Property at Staffs Housing, shared her excitement about the upcoming works: “This is a really important project for Oliver Lodge and a fantastic step forward in making our homes as safe as possible. We’re proud to be working with specialist contractors who bring a wealth of expertise in fire safety. Our customers’ safety is at the heart of everything we do, and these new fire doors will help provide reassurance and protection for years to come.”

We’ll be in touch with residents at Oliver Lodge soon with more information about the schedule and what to expect during the works. Our teams will also be on hand throughout the project to answer questions and provide support.
