At Staffs Housing, we know that feeling comfortable and supported in your home starts with feeling able to talk to us. That’s why we’d love you to meet Michelle, the friendly face of Bradeley Village.
Michelle is our Customer Advisor based at the Customer Hub in Bradeley Village. She joined the team in June 2024 and has quickly become a familiar and trusted presence in the community.
Here to help
Michelle describes herself as “the face of the village,” and that means customers come to her with everything, from quick questions to more complex problems. Her day starts with admin from 8–10am, before she opens the office doors from 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday, ready to welcome anyone who needs support.
Michelle can help with a wide range of day-to-day queries and concerns, including reporting repairs, handling complaints, sorting parking permits, replacing and reprogramming keys, assisting with lockouts, and directing calls and enquiries about Bradeley Village.
She also supports with Lifeline calls, checking each morning for any overnight incidents. If a resident pulls their emergency cord and the team can’t make contact, Michelle carries out a welfare check to ensure they are safe and well. And if she hasn’t heard from someone in a while, she may pop by or get in touch for a quick check-in, simply to make sure everything is okay.
Experience that makes a difference
Before joining Staffs Housing, Michelle worked as a medical receptionist for two years and previously at a veterinary practice. Supporting people through difficult moments taught her the importance of compassion, patience and seeing things from another person’s perspective.
Before that, Michelle worked at Sainsbury’s for 13 years, including time on the customer service desk resolving issues and supporting customers. Throughout her career, one thing has remained constant, she loves working with people.
A valued member of the community
Michelle was recently honoured to be a judge at the Easter Parade at Bradeley Village, something she says meant a lot to her. “It’s nice to know that people appreciate the work that you do, and they trust that you’ll do what you say you will. There’s real satisfaction in sorting a problem out and having someone come back to say thank you.”
That trust and appreciation go both ways.
We’re here for you
At Staffs Housing, we want to break down any barriers between staff and customers. We’re not just here to manage homes, we’re here to support people.
If you live in Bradeley Village and need help, advice or even just a friendly chat, pop into the Customer Hub between 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday. Michelle will be happy to see you.
