At Honeycomb Group, we understand how important it is for our customers to feel comfortable with the people working in and around their homes. That’s why we love introducing new team members, and today, we’re excited to welcome Chris, our new Property Surveyor!
About Chris
Chris joined Honeycomb Group earlier this year and brings a great mix of hands-on experience and a real passion for helping people. Prior to joining us, he spent over three years as a Business Development Manager for a local kitchen company, where he specialised in kitchens and joinery.
“I was ready for a new challenge,” Chris explains. “I looked into social housing because I wanted to give something back to the community. The job security and opportunities to grow also really appealed to me.”
When he saw the Property Surveyor role at Honeycomb Group, it felt like the perfect fit combining his practical knowledge with a chance to make a difference.
What will Chris be doing
As a Property Surveyor, Chris will be helping our Property Team deliver planned improvements, compliance work, and a health and safety service. This includes carrying out pre- and post-work inspections to ensure all residents can remain safe in their homes, while maintaining high-quality service standards and value for money.
Chris will be particularly focused on kitchen, bathroom, and fire door replacements areas where his previous experience will be especially valuable.
“Even though this is a new sector for me, I’ve always enjoyed working with people,” he says. “Now, I get to do that while using my skills to help make homes safer and more comfortable.”
A varied background
Chris’s career has been wide-ranging. Alongside his experience in kitchens, he’s run an antiques business, sold carpets and furniture, and operated a house clearing service. “I’ve always loved meeting people and being part of something that makes a difference,” he says.
Settling in at Honeycomb
Chris says his time with us so far has been exciting and supportive. “The team have been brilliant. There’s always someone to help if I have a question. I feel really supported and am excited for what’s ahead.”
We’re thrilled to have Chris on board and can’t wait for our customers to get to know him. If you see Chris visiting your home as part of our planned works, be sure to say hello!
