Fire safety that works for you

Woman At Home With Walking Stick

Everyone’s needs are different. If your health, mobility, hearing, sight or personal circumstances could make it harder for you to stay safe in a fire, please tell us.

We’re here to make sure you have the right support in place.

Could you need extra support?

You might need some extra help if you:

  • have difficulty walking or using stairs
  • use a wheelchair or mobility aid
  • might not hear an alarm
  • have difficulty seeing
  • have a health condition that affects your mobility
  • rely on someone else for support

There are different ways we can help, from specialist alarms and equipment to personalised fire safety advice or an individual plan.

We can also work with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to make sure you get the right advice and support.

Have things changed?

Your needs can change too. If your health, mobility or circumstances have changed and you think this could affect you in an emergency, please let us know – even if you’ve spoken to us before.

You don’t need to know what support you need. Just tell us what’s changed or what you’re worried about, and we’ll work through it with you.

Tell us what you need. We’ll help you stay safe.

If you think you might need extra support to stay safe in an emergency, get in touch with us.
