At Staffs Housing, we know how important it is to feel safe and comfortable in your home and your neighbourhood.
That’s why we’ve been running Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Surgery sessions — giving our tenants the chance to drop in, speak directly to our ASB Specialist and Neighbourhood Officers, and get confidential advice and support on any ASB or hate crime concerns.
Since launching the initiative last November, we’ve visited five schemes — creating space for honest conversations, practical support, and building safer communities, together.
Since the sessions started we’ve had some overwhelmingly positive feedback — here’s what you told us:
· 90% of customers said we take ASB and hate crime seriously
· 80% said they felt kept up to date with their case
· 90% said their issue was resolved
· 70% felt the outcome met their expectations
· 85% were satisfied with how their case was handled
· Our average customer rating was 3.4 out of 4
We’re proud of this — because it shows that by listening, acting, and working together, we’re making a difference.
Your Next Opportunity to Talk to Us – 8 April at Oliver Lodge
Our next ASB Surgery is happening on Monday 8 April at 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at Oliver Lodge. Joining us at this session will be Harmony ASB Support Providers, who bring specialist knowledge and expert advice to help you understand your rights, explore your options, and feel supported every step of the way.
Harmony can provide a wide range of support to anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour. This includes assessment and tailored support planning to understand your needs and create a personalised plan. They offer emotional support, helping you process the impact ASB may have on you and your family, as well as practical support such as guidance on legal options, personal security measures, gathering evidence, and help with applications like the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme. Additionally, Harmony provides information and advocacy, ensuring you understand your rights, what agencies can do, and they’ll liaise directly with councils and police on your behalf. If needed, they also offer mediation services — impartial, confidential support to help resolve neighbour or community disputes.
