We’ve been busy behind the scenes making improvements to your homes. Senior Surveyor Steve heads up the planned maintenance programme and is excited to share the latest update as we wrap up this year’s planned maintenance programme.
All of this work is about making sure your home stays a place you feel proud to live in. From brand new kitchens and bathrooms to important safety upgrades, we’re focused on keeping everything modern, safe and working just as it should.
With the financial year coming to a close, our teams are pushing to finish strong, while already gearing up for an even bigger programme starting this April.
What’s happened this month?
Kitchen replacements
Works are well underway and on track to be completed by 3rd April 2026. We’ve also lined up the next phase, 21 homes have been selected and will be going out to contractors this week for surveys and quotes. We’re aiming to start rolling these out towards the end of April.
Bathrooms and storage heaters
Most bathroom upgrades are progressing well. In a few cases, we haven’t been able to gain access for surveys, so these homes have been moved into the 2026 programme to keep everything else on track. Storage heaters are being upgraded at the same time, helping improve comfort and efficiency.
Windows and doors
Nearly there! Just two properties at Hazelwood remain, and these are expected to be completed before the end of the financial year.
Fire doors
This work is now moving forward thanks to funding secured from Homes England. Jobs in Norton and Tunstall have been in progress this month. With plans for five larger schemes to be completed which are currently out to tender and due back at the end of March.
Fire-stopping work
Great news, these works are now fully complete! Fire stopping works involve installing specialist materials and systems that help prevent fire, smoke and heat from spreading through a building, particularly through gaps, joints and hidden openings—making homes safer for residents.
What’s next?
We’re already planning ahead! The 2026 planned maintenance programme is being refreshed and will be ready to launch in the new financial year.
