Residents joined us at our West End Village coffee morning last week to meet different teams, share feedback and help us improve our services.

Residents were able to meet staff from the housing, maintenance, activities, marketing, and customer involvement teams. We received feedback on accessibility catering and grounds maintenance and we’re already working behind the scenes to make changes and implement this feedback.

The coffee morning is just one of the ways were engaging with you, our residents, to make sure you have a say on what we do and how we do it. This was the first coffee morning after a successful pilot at Oliver Lodge last year.

Two older women sat next to each other smiling at the coffee morningMrs Gleaves who has been a resident at The Pavilion, enjoyed the coffee morning and meeting new teams, she said: “It’s been great to come down and meet staff I’ve never met before. It’s so interesting to learn more about their roles and what they do at Staffs Housing.”

Resident Sue said: “everyone I met at the coffee morning has been really friendly. It’s been great to see them taking on our feedback and willing to make changes for everyone at the village. It’s nice to know that you matter, and it shows that Staffs Housing care.”

Two women standing talking at the coffee morningHousing Manager Laura Dalton is part of the team delivering the coffee mornings. She said, “making sure residents can feed back on their own homes and the service we deliver is so vital. Customers pay their rent, so it’s only right they can have their say in how we provide quality affordable homes.”

“It was lovely to meet so many residents and see such a great turnout. The feedback we’ve received is being taken on board and will help to influence our services.”

JPR are one of Staffs Housing’s Maintenance contractors they attended the event to answer questions about some of the work undertaken by JPR at West End Village, Paula from JPR said, “it was a pleasure to meet residents. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive and complimentary about staff and their experience at West End Village.”
