A new food delivery service for residents at West End, Bradeley and Rowan villages has been set up.

Residents at all three villages can enjoy hot and cold meals, such as steak and ale pie, cod and chips and even a Sunday roast, delivered to their doors at lunch time all thanks to the village restaurant teams.

This comes as England is placed in a four week lockdown, meaning residents who usually buy their food and eat in each day at local restaurants and cafes can no longer do so.Brian Watt, manager of catering services at Staffs Housing said: “When the lockdown in England was announced and we realised coffee shops and restaurants had to close, we decided we needed to do something to make sure our Village residents could still get a hot cooked meal. That’s when we came up with the idea for a delivery service within our Villages.

“The teams have worked hard to make sure the residents have a varied selection of hot and cold meals throughout the week, with a Sunday lunch delivery too at the weekend.

“We launched the service a few days ago and already we’ve had a good response from residents. We want to make sure that nobody struggles during this time of uncertainty.”

For any Village residents wanting to find out more about the service, or to place an order, simply call West End Village on 01782 743934, Bradeley Village on 07736 041601 or Rowan Village on 07970 939739.
