Our new £2,000 fund hopes to help improve local communities for customers

Date: 01/04/2021

We’ve created a £2,000 community fund! We always want to make sure your voice is heard. So this year we're trying something a little different to ensure we're investing in the things you care about. This money will be used to fund customer suggested projects. Helping to improve local communities and the wellbeing of the people who live there.

We’re dedicated to removing the social and financial barriers keeping people from a good home and community. We’ll be working closely with residents, using your ideas and solutions to make a difference to the issues you care about.

Starting 1 April, we’re calling for all customers to put forward their ideas and tell us how they want to make a difference. All Staffs Housing customers can apply, with four £500 funds released once a quarter over the next 12 months.

At Staffs Housing we have a duty to residents and the communities we work in. The launch of this fund is one of the ways we will support residents and local areas. Each year we dedicate money to invest in the communities we work in. This year we want to do things a little differently. The fund will mean we invest in things that residents directly suggest will help improve local areas.

The aim of this project is to support local communities. Successful bids will help address practical issues in the community. The fund will be judged by a small panel, favouring ideas that will have a positive impact on mental health, physical health and the wellbeing of residents and the community.

This is such an exciting project for us at Staffs Housing. It gives people the chance to do something about issues bothering them. The money can be spent in a number of different ways. Whether it’s to fund online classes, sports groups, support foodbanks or even to pay for projects for the next generation. Whatever you care about, we want to help you make a difference.
