Staffordshire Housing are set to host an event for customers to find out how they can help shape the services they provide.
The customer involvement event will be an opportunity for customers to find out more about the customer involvement roles available, as well as the chance to speak to staff and other customers who currently volunteer with us.
The event, on Wednesday 22 May 2019, will be a drop in between 2pm and 4pm at Staffordshire Housing’s head office, 308 London Road.
Simon is one of our tenant volunteers. He is part of customer assurances and the scrutiny group, which look at ways to improve our services and make sure we’ve kept our promises to tenants. He said: “Being involved has helped me to focus on things other than my mental health and has helped with my self-esteem.
“It’s great to be able to give a bit back and I hope that being involved can go a small way to make other people’s experiences with Staffordshire Housing better.”
Staffordshire Housing’s customer engagement officer, Katie Brickley, said: “Getting involved can be really rewarding and make a huge difference.
“It’s important to get our customers involved because the services we run are for our customers and they should have a say in how we run the business. We also want to make sure everything is as user friendly as possible so everyone can understand our leaflets, websites and any other information.”
Some of the changes that have been made because of involved customers include a better standard and condition of homes for customers to move in to, more customers getting their enquiry solved by the first member of staff they speak to and the Fair Deal and anti-social behaviour (ASB) response, which makes a big difference to the way we deal with ASB.
