Voluntary Right to Buy scheme update

We are currently participating in the Midlands pilot of the Voluntary Right to Buy (VRTB) scheme which is being funded by the government.

Because the government expected high demand for the scheme they have controlled the number of applications by using a ballot system (similar to a lottery scheme).
Tenants who entered the ballot applied for a unique reference number which would allow them to proceed with a VRTB application to purchase their home.

The ballot opened on 16 August 2018 and closed on 16 September 2018.

Only applicants who entered the ballot, and who have been advised that they can proceed with a voluntary right to buy application, can now take the next steps to buying their home.

We will update our website with further news such as if the ballot is re-opened at any point in the future; or, if we are notified that the VRTB scheme is closed permanently.
