We work with schools, youth services, residents' associations and community groups to build vibrant neighbourhoods.

Communities know best what they need, and we act on what local people tell us is important.

At Fegg Hayes and Chell Heath, for instance, residents wanted more opportunities and facilities for young people.

In response, we:

• provided funding for a youth worker
• ran an environmental awareness campaign in local schools
• worked with schools to plant over 20,000 bulbs and trees on the main route into the area
• funded summer activities for young people in partnership with the YMCA
• funded strips for two local football teams and training for their coach
• put two groups of students through a junior fire fighters course which built their confidence, increased their skills and introduced them to teamwork.
